i agree with ruthie. i would say you should at least stick it out through the third one - if you don't like the third one... well, that might be blasphemous.
I'm right there with you! I didn't like the first one either...and so I haven't read the rest of the series!! But, to be honest, almost everyone I've talked to says they get better.
