Oh my. SO MUCH to type! I'm in Bombay/mumbai right now. In the old part of the city. Today i took an hour boat ride to Elephanta Island and saw some 650ad caves with temples built inside. Basically we all came in, took a 45 minute ride to our YWCA, slept, got up at 7am and pretty much were told "You have 36 hours to do anything you want. Go explore, just stay out of trouble and dont' get arrested". So that's what we're doing. Walking the streets, touring the neighborhood. It's such an obstacle to tour anywhere though. Cars are chaotic. so much is different. it's a city of beauty and slums. gorgeous buildings and beggers. more to write later. i have to get going. im traveling to pune/poona tomorrow by bus. time to go back out into the humid muggy air.
