I spent the last week in the boundary waters. It was excellent. Super excellent. Not only the place, but the people and the activities. Testing limits, testing strength, bonding with good friends. I need to do things like this more often, but it's hard to find time.
Sawbill Outfitters was great to see. I'm proud of that place and of Ruthie's family, even though I'm barely connected to it. It felt very special to be a part of the boundary waters for a week, to paddle, and hoist canoes up, find portages, lug our heavy bags around, eat tons of food, and do some daring (well for me it was!) activities. Paddling our canoes around dozens of lakes was so neat!
